TOEFL Waiver
Students who have successfully completed Level 6 in the Language and Culture Center are not required to present a TOEFL score when seeking undergraduate admission to the University of Houston.
Students seeking graduate admission are still required to present a satisfactory TOEFL score. Graduate programs typically require the following minimum scores: 600 (paper-based test) or 100 (Internet-based test). Contact the graduate department of your major to learn the latest requirements.
For students seeking undergraduate admission to the University of Houston and not planning to take level 6 in the Intensive English Program, the TOEFL requirement is a minimum of 550 (paper-based test) or 79 (Internet-based test).
